Finally Finished Sweater

OK so a few months ago i started a new sweater with pure new wool and casted on, did the ribbing and knitted about 4 inches and stopped for while. I suddenly remembered the sweater and decided to pick it up again and carry on knitting. I wasn’t using a pattern which was nice and relaxing figuring out all the shaping as i gradually went along. So last Wednesday and Thursday i did another six inches of stockinette st. On Friday i did the colour work. and on Saturday i grafted on the sleeves and started the last part of my sweater the yoke and collar area but with misguided calculations I’d done it wrong i had managed to do a good six inches at work and then figured i had to rip it out and start the shaping for the shoulders again. i was more than unpleased but i have to say quickest jumper I’ve do so far, so to carry on with my own personal achievement i carried on with it the Sunday at knitting group and today at 1pm the afternoon i had finished. I almost except 4 inches made an entire sweater in 5 days, I’m pretty proud and it now fits perfectly i have to say I’m in love with my new sweater. Heres a photo of my sweater.
I also finished my first mitten pattern for my new book And i may as well show you a photo since I’ve posted it on Ravelry in my projects. I’m thinking of put it up soon as another lil taster but we shall have to see. But here it is
They are so pretty and warm i still need another ball of yarn though to finish but it is beautiful.
Me and my partner also had some annoying news on Sunday after i’d had such a good day at my knitting group as well. We found out from our landlord he’s selling the house
he has gave us 2 weeks to move out we had to bargain with him for 4 weeks which we thankfully now have. It’s made me panic i have to admit, But we are going to look at 3 houses we have taken a fancy too. And the space we will have shall be amazing, plus more room to hide my wool stash lol!! But i do hate time limits which is the thing that as panicked me more. So a lot on this Christmas, especially since we’ll be moving, need to find a better paid job, lots of knitting and designing for my book, Covering staff at my current job all December and plenty more. Yikes!!
Things always work out though in the end even if you don’t think they will at the time.
xx
Cash’miracle’

I Currently, yes today had a Cashmiracle. I strolled into one of my local charity shops and came across a burnt orange cashmere mens sweater for £1.99 and i snapped it up. But not to wear, I hear you say ” what a waste”. but infact to re-knit, i’ve be unraveling this sweater most of the day but i still have a while to go before it’s all unravelled. My plans are to design a scarf of which i can use my cashmere. I’ve never knit cashmere because it’s always darn expensive but i saw my chance and took by the arm and dragged it home
. I can’t wait to be actually wearing this scarf, the cashmere is 100% which means i got a crazy bargin and i’m thinking of going back tomoro as i spotted a 100% lambswool womens sweater and the yarn would be lovely for a hat, i may have to go into re-knit rehab lol!!
